How ’bout some more late night performances?

Actually, the folks over at maintain an archive that makes this column very redundant. Check out their video section, they have all kinds of stuff there that can’t be found (or isn’t playable outside the U.S.) on Youtube. For example:

The recent Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. performances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Also, Elvis Costello doing a tune from his folky new record Secret, Profane and Sugarcane, on Conan.

And a couple more:

Did you see Bat for Lashes performing “Daniel” on the Jimmy Kimmel show? I didn’t. Not sure what happened, but in the episode I saw he announced the band and the song (just like he does in this video) but it went to a performance of another song, which was cut off for time at the end of the show. Anyway, the performance is now online, and it’s great.

The BPA (Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim) performed on both Letterman and Fallon, featuring Iggy Pop. You know, sometimes I think I don’t get Mr. Pop, but, man, he’s out there shakin’ his ass like a person half his age.
